In honor of Ver still posting (thank heavens!) I remember a time when a certain boy (not young man yet) wanted a pair of Levi's costing $52. Well that was than outrageous because regular Levi's were like $14. I'd like to say now that this boy's Mom seemed to understand and his Dad was just a knucklehead, but fortunately went along with it (knowing he, the Dad, wasn't going to get any blessing because of his poor, dumb attitude). Thank Heavens for Mom's and kids that are kind and forgiving. I'm sure there is more to this story that the readers might be able to contribute, but for now I can't remember any more of it. :)

I remember trying to find knock-offs or pants that were similar, but the REAL deal is what they wanted. :o) It seems like I may have asked them to contribute part of the cost back then too.
You're sweet, Dad. :) I wasn't too fazed by $52 jeans--I just want to the thrift store. :)
