Color Question and The Moral to the Story

Before and after photos of the kitchen - baked clay then warmed peach. Which do you prefer? Mom - neither. Dad - warmed peach is awesome! (the pics don't really give you a good idear, please come and see)

Among the inspirations we've had to pay off debt, the one below from President Hinckley is one of our favorites.

"One of the happiest days in the life of President Joseph F. Smith was the day the Church paid off its long-standing indebtedness.

What a wonderful feeling it is to be free of debt, to have a little money against a day of emergency put away where it can be retrieved when necessary.

President Faust would not tell you this himself. Perhaps I can tell it, and he can take it out on me afterward. He had a mortgage on his home drawing 4 percent interest. Many people would have told him he was foolish to pay off that mortgage when it carried so low a rate of interest. But the first opportunity he had to acquire some means, he and his wife determined they would pay off their mortgage. He has been free of debt since that day. That’s why he wears a smile on his face, and that’s why he whistles while he works."

Gordon B. Hinckley, “To the Boys and to the Men,” Ensign, Nov 1998, 51.

The "Baked Clay" was just WAY too bold along side the "Conservative Gray" of the living room walls. And the "Warmed Peach" is WAY too pinky for me! Arggghh! I can't decide. HELP!

you guys are crazy. All you need to do is to go back to your roots - your high school colors. You need some maroon and gold to really make that place POP!

I agree with mom. I don't know what I'd pick besides those though.

Personally, I like white.

oh and I like the thing about Faust. funny. Can't wait til we are out of debt. Except then we'll be saving to get right back into debt on a house. I'm learning from you guys though and setting a goal for 10 years. ha.

Hmmm...I'm not diggin' the warmed peach. But I can't really talk--besides Rhiannon's pinky purple room at the old house, we've never painted. Looks like I need to check in on your blog more--always something interesting! :)
